Tuxedo Coat

I have a thing for jackets, coats, and blazers. I probably own at least 25. This is my newest:

Bought for 50 cents from a queer neighbor's yard sale. \o/ I also bought a wool blanket for 2 dollars. These jeans are too big, which I can see now from this photo.

Yeah I am worried about that too! It is a no-eating/drinking coat I think. But OTOH, I only paid 50 cents for it, so if I do spill on it it's not a huge tragedy.

I seem to remember spray on stain repellent - scotch-gard maybe? It might be worth coating the coat.

Ohhhh, you look stunningly handsome in that get-up! I am coveting the hat as well as the coat, actually :)

I have a thing for coats but being a wheelchair user I hardly ever wear them because there are almost no coats that look decent when one is sitting down ... I don't much like the above-hip-length type jackets. Should sit down with some patterns and some knowledgable friends and draft a modified pattern for something that works and which I like ... *ponders*

I can imagine it's a challenge to find a coat that is both comfortable and looks nice when sitting. That would be a great design challenge.
